Mantsho x H&M

Palesa Mokubung has collaborated with H&M for their first African designer collaboration; Mantsho x H&M. Previewed at an exclusive launch last night at the Victoria Yards, it’s a first for the renowned designer as well as she hasn’t collaborated with a retailer before.

Palesa Mokubung began her career in 2004 with Stoned Cherie at the height of its popularity and went on to form her own label. The Mantsho label, meaning ‘black is beautiful’ in Mokubung’s native Sesotho language, was established in 2004 and has since graced numerous runways including Greece, India, USA, Jamaica, Nigeria, Botswana and Senegal.

Of the collection, she says “This is my love letter to the world from Africa. I hope customers around the world will enjoy this ensemble of my stand out pieces from my last three collections.”

In anticipation of the launch, Nomzamo Mbatha hosted an intimate preview of the collabo at H&M’s New York showroom and global office.

Have a look at the collection below, available all South African stores from today, all H&M online markets, as well as exclusive flagship stores around the world.
