After taking a public hiatus and making a comeback to the mainstream earlier this year with the beautifully made “Dlala”, Zingah’s released a video for the track today.
“Dlala is my passion project, it’s the one handle that I think is the perfect example of what I can achieve when I fuse all the things that make me the Lawd of the Music. I knew the song would be a hit but never in my dreams did I imagine that it would travel so far and touch so many people.” – Zingah
The Dlala video was shot in Soweto and was co-directed by Zingah. It stars him and his childhood friend Anele Zondo, also known as NeyTheBae, who is a Massive Music presenter and an actress. The love story is set in Mzimhlophe where Zingah and Anele grew up next door each other, but as the years progress they grow apart and he now has to watch the woman he loves be with another guy who has more money than him.
“When I was conceptualizing the video I was thinking about all the guys I grew up seeing who were rich and got all the girls because of their flashy cars. I play both the rich guy and the boy next door on the Dala video and hope that people will enjoy my acting on this never ending love story”
