It looks like Blxckie has carried his generosity and high output into the new year.
Known to be working on and releasing new music consistently, 2023 is no different. He has done it again. The KZN native has just released his second contribution of the year in the form of Papa Fetti – a short and sweet two-piece. His first contribution was the “4TheSocials Freestyle“, released online on 14 January.
The two songs on Papa Fetti are both produced by DJ Herc Cut The Lights aka Hercules, who is a frequent collaborator of Blxckie – having produced songs like “Stripes” for the artist.
“Papa” is a 1minute, 45 seconds ditty that finds Blxckie flexing his flow as he usually does. It’s fun and lighthearted. “Fetti” is a surprise collaboration with Emtee, which sees both artists speaking on how good they are living and all the moves they’re making. Emtee opens with the lines: “I hop out a brand new whip, haters be mad and shit, shorty a bad lil’ bitch, she lives in the trap and shit, I wanna ball, go to the mall, I want it all, I’m not taking no calls…”
Starting off the year in similar tradition, Blxckie is making a statement for what’s to come. He continues to show the calibre of artist he is – one not only interested in breaking the internet with smash hits, but an artist interested in creating music, having fun in the process and releasing it to his fans.
