Castle Lite Unlocks makes a return to the SA live experiences landscape in 2025 and they have Travis Scott taking to the center stage. The brand experience began in 2011 with an all-white concert seeing Drake as the headliner, and the last event taking place in 2019. Cardi B was to headline the 2020 show, but a worldwide pandemic resulted in its cancellation. They’ve made a return in 2025 and they’re bringing Travis Scott along for the ride.
This isn’t Travis’s first rodeo with Castle Lite Unlocks. The rapper was last here in 2017, co-headlining the show with Bryson Tiller. Off the back of his album Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight, he made fans out of fence-sitters that night with a show that many still revere as the best Unlocks experience they’ve had.
In 2025, he’s a worldwide phenom with a string of sold-out tours, the latest of which is the Circus Maximus tour. The tour began in October 2023 with dates all over North and South America, Europe and Australasia. He’s now announced the extension of the tour with South African, Indian, Korean, Chinese and Japanese shows.
The Johannesburg leg takes place on the 11th of October at FNB Stadium and is brought to us by Castle Lite as an Unlocks experience. The format of Unlocks seems to have changed from years prior: where it was a festival experience centered around all things Castle Lite, it now seems to be a co-sign of an already existing tour in collaboration with Big Concerts.
