K.O Releases Latest Single “K:HOVA” As Anticipation For His Next Full Length Project Increases

As one of the most highly sought after and celebrated emcees in the game, K.O continues to show his pedigree as a sophisticated hitmaker and lyricist on his latest single “K:HOVA”. The Teargas frontman interpolates one of JAY-Z’s nicknames, Jay Hova, in creating a nickname of his own, K:HOVA.

The Lunatik produced cut sees K.O at his usual witty lyrical self, delivering smart lines such as “Gimme my flowers, my mamazala (lily)lilizela…” amongst others. He employs various flows throughout the song, laden with clever wordplay. His signature giggle also finds expression in one of the verses.

Gearing to release his upcoming album, K.O seems to still be in great artistic condition, given the quality of star performances he has already delivered this year alone. Alongside Khuli Chana, he was on the assist on Bloemfontein duo Stino Le Thwenny’s smash hit “Mshimane 2.0” as well as an appearance on DJ Mr X’s “Asambe, alongside a star-studded cast that included Cassper Nyovest, Loki and Roiii.

Coinciding with the release of the single is its official music video, written and directed by Ted Magerman. With cameos by new and long standing K.O affiliates alike, the visuals depict interesting setpieces centering K.O in numerous settings. Most notably, there’s quite a mouthwatering scene with K.O dressed as a pastor in a church that will surely get tongues wagging.
