Known for her typically high-energy tracks, Rouge has slowed it down a bit with her new single “One By One”. Featuring AKA, the track is one for the lovers.
With a few rappers having walked down the aisle last year, they’ve laid out the love they have for their wives on verse. Kwesta’s “Khethile Khethile” comes to mind, as does Solo’s “Two by Two.”
Rouge’s “One By One” falls along similar lines, both sonically and thematically. And while hers doesn’t come with the lived experience of marriage, both her and AKA paint a pretty vivid picture of the journey leading up to it. Check it out below.
