The Weeknd surprised everyone last week when he dropped My Dear Melancholy out of the blue. The EP sees him going back to his essence with joints that are reminiscent of his famed House of Balloons and Thursday era. It’s clear that the Canadian crooner had a lot to get off his chest what with all the super publicised relationships and eventual break-ups he’s been involved in in the past year.
My Dear Melancholy has shot to No. 1 of the Billboard charts and to celebrate that feat he has dropped a short film titled “He Was Never There” that documents the making of this EP. Peep it below ..
