He’s a talented producer and one-third of the BETR GANG (of ‘Solo and the BETR GANG’ fame). As a solo artist, Al da 3rd released his debut project four years ago. Since “Twenty Sixteens”, he’s gone on the road with the GANG, and also released a single, “Picture Moment” feat. Solo and V the Vowel.
It’s 2020 and he has a new EP with various artists featuring. The EP begins with rapper Ra’s Rayz’s stage name being the title track’s antithesis. “Pula” also features producer Instro, in a role that we’ve rarely seen him take on as a rapper. Al goes on to have the FratPack feature on “What Else” and Lebo Mochudi on “Sibelius Syllables” before closing out the EP with Solo Ntsizwa Ka Mthimkhulu and Buks on “Volume.”
Showing his production expertise across varied genres, Al gives us a concise (14 minutes, to be exact) project that’s timeless in its replay value.
