Fresh off the success of his debut album B4Now, Blxckie capitalises on his current momentum with the release of the visuals to his anthemic hit, “Ye x4”. The KZN native has been enjoying a rapid rise in the industry and one of the contributions to his meteoric rise is the Nasty C cosign in the form of the feature he handed to him for “Ye x4”.
The music video is shot on location at the basement of Ponte, which is the recognizable residential building in Hillbrow that’s a Jo’burg monument, owing to its animated Vodacom branding that towers over the Johannesburg skyline. In the video, Blxckie stands alone delivering his first verse amidst scenes of frantic dancing. For Nasty C’s part, he is joined by Blxckie as he goes off while they stand in front of a yellow Mercedes Benz AMG GT.
The two emcees share palpable on-screen chemistry which must make the experience all the more surreal for Blxckie, who has expressed on numerous occasions that Nasty C is one of the artists he looks up to and collaborating with him at this level is akin to a dream. These sentiments are evidence by the post below:
This is what informs the concept of the music video, as we see Blxckie waking up from a dream, towards the end of the video, indicating that all that has transpired is like a dream come true for him.
