The partnership between Da L.E.S’s Fresh 2 Def Productions, Gemini Major and Yanga has ended.
The musicians announced this morning that the two month business deal came to an end and they all walk away on good terms.
“There is no beef or big issue. I wish Gemini only the best with the future,” Da L.E.S. explained. “We have chosen to separate from working with the guys based on the fact that our whole objective with regards to what they were doing in their projects has been met. Partnering with them was to make sure that they can operate fully independently.”
He gave examples of Gemini Major working in Kenya under his label Rudebouy Major for Coke Studios and Yanga who has just released his mixtape Neighbourhood Genius under his label Young Legend Music. “We are comfortable that they can work on their own, our job has been met and is done,” said Da L.E.S. In response Gemini Major who is the main producer on Da L.E.S’ fifth studio album commented: “I am grateful of the time we spent together and send Da L.E.S my good wishes.”
