H&M Music Experience

H&M celebrates 10 years in South Africa with their S/S25 music experience

It almost doesn’t seem like ten years have passed since H&M first opened their doors in South Africa but the brand reminded us of the milestone with a music experience held to celebrate the occasion.

Guests were treated to a feast of sound, style, and culture as they put their best fashion feet forward for the night. They were rewarded with performances by Kamo Mphela and her dance crew, Shekinah, and Internet Girl. The DJ sets for the night included those of DJ Kent, Baby Whitz, and Lelowhatsgood.

“Being part of H&M’s S/S 25 Music Experience for their 10-year celebration is so exciting. I love how the event mixes fashion, music and good vibes. It’s all about expression and energy, which is exactly what I stand for. It feels really special to celebrate this milestone with H&M surrounded by style and sound that feels fresh and fun,” says Kamo Mphela.

“H&M is an iconic brand that is so loud about their love for music and fashion, which are my passions, and I am excited to share this stage with creatives and artists that are like minded,” Shekhinah mused.

The brand also marked the arrival of the second drop of the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which was on display for partygoers at the event’s entrance. South Africa’s own Tyla, and her sister Sydney, is the star of H&M’s S/S 2025 campaign, with her working relationship with the brand going back to long before her international superstardom took root.

The second chapter of the bohemian S/S 2025 collection nods to the history of music, evoking the romantic sheers of festival style icons, the eclecticism of rock and roll fashion, and the vintage allure of glam rock and new romantic styling. The second chapter blends these references with a romantic minimalism, bringing clean lines and a sun-kissed palette.
