Johnnie Walker Blonde took to FonCity this past weekend and lit up the experience the Walker Way. The iconic Scottish whisky brand has a strong track record in culture spaces all over South Africa, and their partnership with FonCity was no less of the incredible experience that we know them to deliver.
The brand hosted the Johnnie Walker Blonde Day Club at the Sun City Cabanas pool for the duration of the weekend. Friday saw DJs such as Mdu aka TRP, Fae Fae, and Lash T take to the stage but it was Kabza De Small’s late night set that truly took it to the top. DJs Lenanza, Lash T, Fae Fae and K Mat laid the groundwork for Saturday’s Day Club experience, so committed to the vibes that not even the sprinkling of rain could deter them.
Sunday’s Day Club grand finale included Snow Deep and the legendary Ralf Gum, who continued playing long after his allotted time had ended, a testament to the golden energy of the day.
As the weekend unfolded, many golden glasses were raised from the nearby Johnnie Walker Blonde cocktail bar in the vicinity. FonCity patrons were treated to an experience where every sip met sunshine and smooth whisky mixes.
