In commemoration of the second anniversary of Linda “PRO” Mkhize’s passing, his lyrical soldiers have come together to give The General a 24 gun salute. PRO passed away on the 8th August 2018 and is still revered as one of the best rappers that SA has produced. Two years later, S.F.S 5 Star, Captain FS and Red Button alongside singer TeePee have released a tribute offering signifying the 24 months since his passing.
Money First Entertainment is the label that PRO founded and houses artists such as Red Button, Captain 057, and TeePee. While each artist has individually paid tribute to PRO in their works, this is the first time they’ve come together for a collective tribute. Remixing SFS’s “MAWE”, “MAWE: VITA24” was released on the 8th of August, the anniversary of his death.
