Lloyiso Brooklyn Beckham Wedding

SA artist Lloyiso Gijana performs at Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding to Nicola Peltz

Brooklyn Beckham was married over the weekend to actress Nicola Peltz. Brooklyn is the son of English football legend David Beckham and designer Victoria Beckham, and Nicola is the daughter of billionaire investor Nelson Peltz and model Claudia Heffner. The eldest Beckham son and his wife tied the knot at the Peltz family’s Florida estate, with a host of celebrities in attendance. They also took to the floor for their first dance to a performance by South African artist Lloyiso.

Hailing from Uitenhage just outside of Port Elizabeth, Lloyiso rose to fame in SA when he placed fifth in the eleventh season of Idols in 2015 when he was only 16 years old. He went on to finishing his schooling and began tertiary before being signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2018. He has kept the country captivated by his cover renditions of popular hits that he’s posted on various social media channels. His cover of Matt Maltese’s “As The World Caves In” has racked up 14 million views on TikTok, his rendition of The Cinematic Orchestra’s “To Build A Home” is sitting on over 7 million views, and Avicii’s “The Nights” has over 5 million views on his channel.

The artist signed to Republic Records in September 2021, a division of Universal Music Group and made his label debut with the single “Seasons”. The artist has also had collaborations with Disney Africa for their “Love Runs Deeper” campaign and a Woolworths Christmas campaign.

As his star rises, Lloyiso has worldwide opportunities opened up for him. Vogue reports that Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz “had their first dance to “Only Fools Rush In”, performed by rising South African artist Lloyiso.” In attendance were Venus and Serena Williams, Eva Longoria, Gordon Ramsay, Marc Anthony, and others.
