Stephen of Kent’s “Dollar” serves up customarily dope raps in a musically refreshing offering

Stephen of Kent has a new single out, “Dollar”. Centred around (you guessed it) the function of money in our lives, the artist navigates a smol smol quarter-life existential crisis on the track. Asking on the hook, “tell me how far does a dollar stretch?” he goes on to say “let your pain be your compass, put no faith in the dollar.”

The beat fuses a pop and synth base with Afro-drums in a genre-bender that asks you to enjoy the music first before asking questions of which musical box to fit it in. Stephen of Kent’s vocals alternate with his customarily dope raps in a refreshing offering.
