Converse and JW Anderson Drop Epic Collabo

Modern fashion and contemporary craftsmanship collide at the core of everything Jonathan Anderson does. For ten years the visionary designer has urged art out of the gallery and onto the catwalk through his namesake brand, JW Anderson; now, we have another innovative collaboration with Converse – one of youth culture’s most radical and enduring icons.

This collaboration introduces us to two new iterations of the classic Chuck 70 silhouette. Converse X JW Anderson introduces you to Grid and Felt.

Grid is the first drop in the collaboration. Fusing the Chuck 70 silhouette with the graphic JW Anderson monogram – repeated ad infinitum through fresh tectonic wordplay – two worlds meet head-on in a stripped-back and stylised new take on distinction and diversity.

Grid features a punchy JW Anderson branding adorning the heel, and Converse’s iconic patch protecting the ankle. The shoe has retro finishing the main focus being JW Anderson’s timeless typographic logo that forms a playful grid pattern, in crisp white on twilight blue on the cotton canvas upper.

Now, all eyes are on FELT, the second drop of this collection. Bringing fresh functionality to a new space. Think: lasered logos; tactile textures; fused fibers in fluoro colorways. This is the future, as you’ve never felt it.

This is Premium felt, as you’ve never seen it before in four striking colorways: radical fuchsia, sky blue and fluorescent green; khaki green, striking black and fluorescent orange; bold khaki; and finally a military grey.

The outer shoe is a raw unlined felt. Each featuring corresponding laces that enhance the impact of the shoe, and laser cut detailing.

Converse X JW Anderson drops 11/10/2018 at Shelflife.
