adidas and IVY PARK unveil the final instalment of their collaboration together, titled IVY PARK NOIR.
For the final show of her Renaissance world tour, Beyoncé took to the Kansas City stage in an all-black embossed leather and latex fit . She captioned the accompanying Instagram post “Felt great to design and wear the final IVY PARK drop (with adidas👀💃🏾🕺🏾) on the final show of the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR,” personally confirming previous reports that the relationship between the two brands had come to an end.
adidas has said of the capsule, “The new range represents a culmination of the two brands’ work together, combining adidas’ athletic and functional excellence, with IVY PARK’s signature emphasis on shape, and trend-defying creative vision.”
Opinions have been varied on previous offerings but the final all-black capsule is the best yet. Using a singular, black colour palette, IVY PARK NOIR intentionally draws focus to fabric, fit and texture. Fabrications include luxurious embossed leather, exposed mesh and lacquered latex. Standout pieces include body-con cropped top and pant, relaxed 3-D molded knit sweatsuits, multifunctional jackets, and the IVY PARK signature jersey. The collection’s footwear include both sneakers and over-the-knee boots.
For the capsule’s campaign, they’ve drawn inspiration from the Film Noir genre, and strength and dynamism of the photographers the likes of Helmut Newton and Richard Avedon, the campaign lauds the essentialism of the all-black line.
Designed with the inclusivity endemic to the IVY PARK brand, the range offers sizing from 3XS- 4XL, shoes from size 3-14.5 UK and price points from R649-R6999. IVY PARK NOIR will be available in select adidas stores and at adidas.co.za on 12 October 2023.
