Debuting this past Friday, Nadia Nakai’s video for her single ”Practice” premiered on Apple music first and was later hosted on YouTube. Currently sitting at over 140K views amassed in a few days, the music video is a visual spectacle shot on location in Ghana by prominent Ghanian music video director, KP Serlom.
Featuring American rapper Vic Mensa, who has been confirmed to be dating Nadia Nakai, the video depicts the two having the time of their lives, cosying up to each other. In the opening scenes, Nadia is seen floating leisurely in a misty pool, soon after there’re recurring scenes of her twerking in ripped short jeans amidst sparks and lit strobe lights.
The scenes with Vic Mensa are the highlight of the video. The couple is seen together riding a horse in some scenes, while they perform together in other scenes – particularly in front of the Black Star Gate at the Black Star Square in Ghana’s capital, Accra. Their presence around each other seems organic and has an air of familiarity, as such, their chemistry is palpable throughout the video in all scenes they share together.
The two lovebirds who have been spotted spending lots of time together in South Africa first met each other in Ghana. Vic Mensa, whose father is originally from Ghana was visiting the West African country and invited Nadia over. “Practice” is off Nadia’s 2020 album, Nadia Naked (Deluxe).
