Riky Rick partners with Sony

 

Riky Rick has announced the partnership of his label COTTON CLUB RECORDS with Sony Music and Sound African Recordings.

“It brings me great joy to announce that I have officially partnered up with Sony Music on my new label, COTTON CLUB RECORDS,” the serial hit makerwrote on Instagram.

Asked on what the vision of COTTON CLUB RECORDS is, Riky Rick said it was about furthering his and other musicians’ musical interests through the label.

“COTTON CLUB RECORDS is a label I started that will be creating and putting out music by me and new artists I am working with,” he said.

“I created COTTON CLUB RECORDS with the vision of helping young talented artists break into the industry. My aim is to bridge the gap between the street way of making music and building a brand out of music,” he added.

To all those who may want to join COTTON CLUB RECORDS but are concerned about the genre Riky Rick is looking for the multi-talented rapper reassures you that he’s open for business to anyone who makes the cut.

“Sound is not really a factor here. All sounds are welcome. We going to be working with anyone who has a dream and talent while looking for knowledge about how the music business works,” he explained.

Shedding light on the partnership of COTTON CLUB RECORDS with Sony Music, Riky Rick felt it made sense as both entities shared the same vision.

“Partnering with Sony is a blessing for us. The people in those offices understand what is important to an artist and they are not arrogant about bridging the gap. The relationship is beneficial both ways,” he said.

 

“I’m preparing to release a project this year. Basically a collection of songs that were itching to be dropped whilst I prepare my album for 2018,” he said.

“We are absolutely elated to have the privilege of partnering with Riky in his new label venture. Like Riky, we are excited at the prospect of creating a home for the exciting, new and high calibre talent across the country and continent through Cotton Club Records!” said Refiloe Ramogase, Sound African General Manager.
