Serving as her second single of the year, songstress Shekhinah has released her most recent song “Steady”. Accompanied by a music video, the Master A Flat-produced single is a guitar-riff driven groove that finds the singer yearning to go back to a love she once knew.
In the song, Shekhinah requests earnestly that she and her lover give their love another shot, this time going full on steady. She sings, “Holding out your hand for a second chance, hoping that it will last but we fall like an avalanche, we touch down, feet on ground, you give me the run around, see we break up only to make up…” once again, managing to capture how achingly frustrating love can turnout, particularly for people involved in a long, drawn-out affair where they seem to find each other, only to lose each other again.
“Steady” follows the release of “Risky”, which was released in the first quarter of the year. The latter, which features Moliy, along with this current release are the first singles off Shekhinah’s upcoming project, which she is reported to be working on. She has also appeared on Mars Baby’s single called “Cherry Bomb” released earlier in the beginning of the year.
