Lulo Rubushe, a name, a brand synonymous with innovation, opportunity and hard work. The RNDM founder has mixed these traits quiet ‘seamlessly’ and has recently partnered with us to create this unique and progressive campaign. The #SpreeStyleNetwork is all about giving young people a chance, a real platform to showcase their fashion sense, individuality and unique message through the expression of style and design. After reaching out to people on social media, 5 style enthusiasts were selected to collectively create a fashion look book that represented Cape Town. We caught up with the style maestro to gauge the reasons behind this partnership.

When asked about how the concept came about, he and his [RNDM] team grew “…tired of always seeing the same faces working with brands” and therefore “…wanted to disrupt the creative space in creating content that was developed by the youth and for the youth.”

Epitomizing the millennial construct, Rubushe believed Spree formed as the ideal partner simply because “…they are the most progressive online retail company out there.” When asked about the selection process “…we [RNDM] chose people who embodied what the campaign meant and people who represented different spaces and backgrounds.” The 5 style enthusiasts are Nizole Mbaleki, Resego Gaetsaloe, Phalo Maurice-Mopp, Refiloe Nkoane and Rubushe; these style enthusiasts have clearly become the collective face of something special and the Rubushe hopes that the campaign message “…will transcend into something more soon.”
