It’s been an incredible few months of lockdown with not only new music to look forward to on Fridays but new freestyles as well. Stogie T has decided that today will be the final episode of Freestyle Friday. Keeping rappers rapping through lockdown, the series has brought a new appreciation for the art of the freestyle and the complexity of rhyming in a musical landscape that seemed to value hype over almost everything else.
He mentioned that Season 2 will be coming, but he’ll be taking time out to work on his own music in the meantime. Where he usually had rappers lace their verses over the same beat, this week sees him and the finale contributors freestyling a cappella. Check out some of the contributions below.
