Burna Boy tour comes to South Africa in September

Burna Boy has been on a whirlwind worldwide stadium tour over the past few months. The Nigerian hitmaker has now included South Africa as one of the stops on the tour calendar.

The singer/songwriter headlined the DStv Delicious festival last year, to a packed Kyalami audience. The crowd, longing for a show from the artist that vowed not to set foot in SA after xenophobic attacks against his countrymen in 2019, revelled in the performance. His set didn’t disappoint and he felt the love of his South African fans on the day.

It’s against this backdrop that he’s brought the tour round to the southernmost tip of the continent. The show will take place on the 23rd of September at the FNB Stadium in Soweto. Ironically, it’s to take place on the first day of the two-day DStv Delicious festival.

Burna Boy recently took home the Best International Act at the 2023 BET Awards, where he went up against Southern African favourites K.O and Uncle Waffles. Earlier this year Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 197 on its list of the 200 greatest singers of all time.

To buy tickets to see Burna Boy live in South Africa, to go Ticketpro where they vary in price from R765 to R2020.
