Flvme Germander

Flvme shows the breadth of his musicianship on GERMANDER II

One of the most anticipated albums of 2022, GERMANDER II is finally out. FLVME, who has been on a streak of great features in the past year has been teasing the said album, speaking about it and as such, substantial hype and buzz was created around it. In July, he released the first single off GERMANDER II, titled “Let Me Down”. He also announced a partnership with artist services and music production company Platoon.

Consisting of 13 tracks, GERMANDER II boasts features from a score of exciting and seasoned artists alike, such as Stogie T, Yung Tyran, Die Mondez, The Big Hash, Ben September, Jay Millian, DaVionne, Kewand and Mellow Don Picasso. The majority of the album’s production is handled by ZWAYETOVEN and FLVME himself, with additional production credits shared between Kewand, Immanuel McMillian, TheMajikMann, DoouShii, CJ Keys, Kevin Ekofo and Lucyclubhouse.

FLVME exudes undeniable R&B influence which is pretty much evident throughout the album. He sings more than he raps, even though what he does can be seen as a cross between the two. On a few of the songs, he re-imagines popular R&B classics like Usher’s “You Make Me Wanna” on “FALL THRU”, whose beat is a remake of the Usher classic. “ROCK FOR LIFE” featuring Stogie T is also a remake of Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You”.

The subject on the album ranges mostly from love songs to weed smoking odes, as well as a few cuts centred on FLVME talking that flex talk. Overall, GERMANDER II is a passion project that does an excellent job of showing the breadth of FLVME’s musicianship. He is more than a hook guy. He’s a musical aficionado who knows exactly the sound that is his forte.
