Music, fashion and cultural icon Riky Rick was laid to rest this past Tuesday in a private funeral service. The artist passed away on Wednesday 23rd February in the early hours of the morning and his death confirmed by this family later in the day with a statement via his publicist.
The family announced the details of his private funeral service held on Tuesday the 1st of March, which was live-streamed on YouTube. They also announced that a memorial service would also be had for the artist on Friday the 4th of March.
Today the details of the memorial service have been released. The family has asked fans to join them in paying tribute to Riky Rick for being a catalyst for change, for pioneering the love for the culture and for being the voice of the youth.
The memorial service will be held at the Imperial Wanderers Stadium on Corlett Drive in Illovo and admission is reserved for attendees with a Webtickets pass only. While the tickets are free, they are limited to 1500 in number. Gates will open at 9am and the memorial will commence from 10am till 2pm.
