Shane Eagle Connects With U.S Based Rapper RedVeil On Latest Single “SKYDREAM”

Shane Eagle has connected with U.S based rapper RedVeil on his latest single “SKYDREAM”. The Johannesburg rapper is no stranger to international collaborations, having closely worked with the likes of Dreamville’s Bas in the recent past. This time he links up with RedVeil, the young rapper from Prince George County in the state of Maryland (which borders part of Washington D.C). At only 17 years old, RedVeil has created considerable buzz for himself in his city and because of the power of the internet, he has managed to connect with South Africa’s own Shane Eagle.

“SKYDREAM” is produced by Monte Booker, another U.S based artist and producer from Chicago Illinois. His resume includes the likes of Smino, JID, Saba, Ari Lennox and Mick Jenkins, amongst others. For Shane Eagle, he has crafted a mellow, slow-burner of a beat that’s underscored by heavy drum kits and a sparse guitar riff but is spacey enough to allow Shane and Red to just vibe out. The two rappers share ruminations about what they think of themselves in the context of the game – calling out to their sky dreams.

Shane raps, “I open doors and got the keys to this shit. I got rich and didn’t know I was rich, moving like I got the portal gun on my hip, moon jumping, moon mapping, still the ralest nigga since everything happened, nobody cook it like me… no.” While Red raps, “These sky dreams is my same reflection but you not my brother, we don’t even got the same inflection, admit it’s on as a protection of my energy, my memory present don’t really mean Imma change direction…”

Shane Eagle has found a sweet spot and is crafting a niche path for himself. He continues to raise his international stock while maintaining ties with his domestic fanbase and rapping about what he really cares about.
