Trinidad James, host of Complex’s Full Sized Run, is headed to SA for the launch of premium apparel and sneaker store, Sneaker District. Founded in Abu Dhabi, the retail store announced in November that they would be expanding to South African shores. The launch of the store is now set to take place in early March.
Media personality Kim Jayde takes up the reins as Head of Marketing for the company’s South African operations. Of the opportunity, she said, “I am grateful for the trust the company has placed in me and extremely excited for the opportunities this venture will create for the sneaker community here in SA. The
Sneaker District store is going to be an incredible destination for sneaker heads, people that are fashion focused and for those invested in the street culture here in South Africa.”
Renowned cultural commentator Fred Mercury is hosting on the night, with Courtnaé Paul and Rarri on the decks. The store launches in Melrose Arch, and promises that the in-store experience is “something of a visual spectacle” for SA sneakerheads.
