STAY LOW Records has officially partnered with independent record label PiFF Audio. Under the terms of the partnership, producer extraordinaire and music savant Zoocci Coke Dope will assume a record label executive role, alongside STAY LOW Records label head, Vaughn Thiel.
Zoocci Coke Dope, real name Sibabalwe Fiphaz, has been one of the country’s best music curators for the better part of the decade, having orchestrated a slew of chart-toppers for artists including Flvme, A-Reece, Ami Faku, Da L.E.S, Stogie T, Nasty C, DJ Speedsta, YoungstaCPT and 25K. In late 2019, after a 5-year run of EPs and mixtapes, Zoocci released his debut album ANXIETY. The 27-year-old is also a trusted music engineer and scores music for film. Discovering numerous musicians over the years, including PiFF artist Die Mondez, Zoocci is no novice to executive responsibilities. “I’ve always viewed PiFF Audio as the mecca of music; a place where the highest level of artistry can be realised – not just for myself but also my artists, other producers and collaborators” he explains. “This partnership with STAY LOW puts me in a position to maintain that benchmark musically and take the movement to newer heights. I’m excited about what’s coming.”
The partnership is just a few weeks shy of last month’s announcement of the STAY LOW x Global African Stream venture with Priddy Ugly. Label head, Vaughn Thiel explains the move: “This being our 2nd partnership announcement in the matter of a month shows exactly what we are about and what we are looking to do in the industry. Partnering with Zoocci and PiFF Audio is a very exciting prospect for us, he is an incredible talent across the board and displays all the criteria from a skill and personality perspective to be a top tier executive. Not only am I looking forward to working with Zoocci on his new music as an artist but growing the STAY LOW/PiFF AUDIO roster and imprint is very high up on our agenda.”
Zoocci is currently in studio working towards his highly anticipated project – ANXIETY PLUS+, set to be the first official STAY LOW x PiFF project release.
