The second instalment of the Homeland collection between adidas and Rich Mnisi has dropped. The first instalment was successfully launched globally earlier in the year. The new drop has a range of pieces which are distinguished by the rose motif on the fabric.
Rich Mnisi said this about the collection, “Homeland is a symbol of returning oneself to the ancestral ground she rests on, the continent of our birth and the home of humanity. A place that celebrates the spirit of her children. Her roots are the source of life.”
Led by models Lindiwe Dim, Lisa Fumagalli and Noma Mokoni, the campaign celebrates Rich Mnisi’s heritage, his homeland. While the apparel collection is impressive, some of the standout pieces include Mnisi’s interpretation of the adidas staple Stan Smith silhouette. Along with the Stan Smith and a variation of the Adilette slide, the Astir and Her Court silhouettes round up the shoe collection.
In keeping with the adidas strategic ambition that by 2025, 9 out of 10 adidas articles will be sustainable, the Rich Mnisi Homeland Collection is made in part with recycled materials.
